I literally used to think the same; that black women just didn’t get abducted and murdered, simply based off of what little (to no) coverage I’d see on the news. It’s amazing how little seeds are planted when we’re younger that actually take root as “beliefs” in our mind and we start believing it.

I’m embarrassed to admit this but I think it actually took Gabby’s case for me to acknowledge that… “Something just ain’t right here..”
